The results are in! S&P Care’s Summer Steps Challenge 2025.

From 14th of April to 6th July 2025, S&P Care Services turned up the energy with its Summer Steps Challenge – and what an incredible journey it was! 32 of our team members laced up their walking shoes and achieved a phenomenal 10,113,872 steps in total.

Our top 10 steppers to walk their way to glory were Sarish, Jaden, Tendai, Hamida, Obi, Rodrick, Nolie, Vongai, Rue, and Casey. Kudos to them – and especially to our overall winner, Sarish, who logged an incredible 1,234,376 steps!

Sarish inspired the whole team with her dedication, energy, and determination, proving that with consistency and a positive mindset, you can achieve amazing things. She truly set the pace for this year’s challenge!

“The competitive element and strong sense of team spirit really motivated me to stay active throughout the challenge. I was surprised by how much movement I was already doing – I’d never tracked my steps before, so it was eye-opening.” – Nolie

Each week, prizes were awarded from the winners’ hampers for the highest number of steps achieved, including perfumes, books, toiletries, sweet treats, herbal teas, scented candles, and fitness accessories to keep the momentum going. The staff shared how the challenge kick-started their fitness journeys, with many now choosing to walk between clients who live close by, as opposed to driving.

“Taking part in the Summer Steps Challenge made exercising fun and engaging – it didn’t feel like a chore.” – Prosper

“The challenge was a great way to kickstart my fitness routine and get back into regular exercise.” – Rodrick

Some of our wonderful clients even joined in – encouraging their care team to get some more steps in whenever there was an opportunity, and turning daily visits into fun updates on the leaderboard.

“The challenge encouraged me to be more mindful of my daily activity. Even small changes, like taking the stairs or going for a short walk, made a big difference – and it was really uplifting to see our clients cheering us on along the way.” – Noreen

The challenge brought laughter, motivation, and team spirit, with carers cheering each other on and celebrating every milestone. It was a fantastic way to keep fit, connect with clients, and boost morale – and everyone agreed they’d keep it up and compete again next year!
